A lovely surprise!

Teaching Kids About Money; is full of useful and beneficial information for teaching your kids of any age, about financial literacy. Ms. Reese shares her experiences as a mother teaching her boys, from age three through eighteen how to be responsible and helpful members of society, through lessons about money. There is also a section on entrepreneurship toward the end of the book.

It's a lovely book, and I will implement some of her strategies with my daughter.

Good starting point

This audiobook offers an interesting perspective on financial literacy starting in childhood. Although the author's parenting philosophy and approaches to financial literacy won't be a perfect fit for every parent or child, there are enough details that make it relatively easy to adapt the suggested ideas to suit each family's values.

I was disappointed at the age cut-off in what the author has actually been able to implement. To account for that gap, there are lists of ideas for the older age groups through college age. Once the author's children are grown, I'd love to see a second edition of this book with the same level of reflection and detail as is covered for the younger age groups.

I recommend this audiobook to those new to teaching financial literacy to children between the ages of 3 and approximately 12 years.
