As a sci-fi author with a hit TV show, I have a few ideas about what alien invaders are supposed to look like. In my stories, they’re technologically advanced monsters, with tentacles, and no faces. Turns out I was right about the technology. And about how angry they’d be. But the way they look…that’s more terrifying than even I could have imagined. They look exactly like us. Because they are us.

Mission Impossible Genre in Sci-Fi
All the Tanis Richard’s adventures are extremely enjoyable. In this book and the last, Tanis truly accomplishes “Missions Impossible” while being undercover and in true spy type of roles. Every sequence, whether clandestine or action packed, is plausible and well thought out. These stories are also very easily understood, hard science fiction too.

To brief to be called good.
There is a difference between a short story and a novel. This tale is to long to be a short story but doesn’t have the details, plot twists, or peripheral character development to be good. It is regretfully the most disappointing element to this extended series. If I didn’t like the main character so well I would advise people to steer clear. As is I will just say it felt like showmen mailed this in to get a pay day.
