A bit uneven, but still a good listen

Since this is a compilation of different writers, the quality varies widely. Some stories are solid entries, some are more forgettable.

But the variety of styles and subject matter is interesting. I was especially moved by the story of Holmes as suffering from dementia.

However, I detest the way the reader voices Watson. He sounds like he has a mouthful of gravel. Ugh!

But it is still a fun listen.

Another gem is 'The Adventure of the Gold-Engraved Box,' a tale of mystery and intrigue where Mrs. Hudson is thrust into a perilous situation. Featherstone's narration skillfully navigates the twists and turns of these stories, maintaining the suspense and delivering the cleverly crafted dialogue with finesse.

'Replacements' by Paula Trott presents a unique challenge for Holmes as criminals vandalize 221B, destroying Watson's medical kit and Holmes' violin. 'Cold' by Jane Stuart, a chilling poem where the Abominable Mrs. Ricoletti seeks revenge, is delivered with a haunting quality that enhances the atmospheric elements of the piece. In 'The Grave Dilemma,' Featherstone masterfully portrays Watson's encounter with a special young woman, adding emotional depth to the narrative.

Very Strange Indeed

Singing, poetry, and a fews stories are all jumbled together. Most are less than stellar
