What a Great Series!

I was completely invested in these characters from book 1. The narrator found his stride; took a while but he got there. Likable characters, action, suspense, love, shenanigans, heroes and villains, this series has it all! I will definitely listen to it again. Looking forward to the spinoff series.

Very engaging story

The story was very engaging with a lot of highs and lows that kept me interested and engaged.............. as well as playing with my emotions!
Also, the characters are so lovable. It's ridiculous.

Read most of it…

Charlie did a phenomenal job on this series. I’m so invested in every single character…from Calvin & Hobbs to Wolf. Even Sonya, who I hated for most of the series has a little piece of my heart and I wonder where her life will take her.

Unfortunately this is an audiobook, which I wasn’t able to enjoy fully. The narration was just terrible. I mean, it could have been worse. It could have been a virtual voice. But it’s not far from that. Especially the last book of the series. I had such high hopes in the middle that the narrator was learning and trying to better himself. But that last book he made Cael sound like a petulant 10 year old. I couldn’t even tell the difference between Dex & Sloane. The voice was exactly the same in the last book especially. And the volume was all messed up. Sometimes when com parts played, it was obnoxiously loud, and then it would drop to super quiet. Every sentence ended in the same tone whether it was a happy scene or sad scene. Incredibly disappointing.
