Über Social-Media lernt Lisa den geheimnisvollen Rick kennen. Er scheint charmant und witzig und lenkt sie von ihren massiven Geldsorgen und ihrer Entlassung ab.
Plötzlich bittet Rick um Hilfe. 50.000 Dollar für ein Wochenende in Las Vegas. Lisa denkt es sei ein schlechter Scherz, doch kurz darauf ist das Geld tatsächlich auf ihrem Konto. Mit diesem Vertrauensvorschuss, einer ordentlichen Portion Neugier und einer unvernünftigen Hoffnung im Herzen legt Lisa ihre Zweifel ab und sagt zu.
Das Blind-Date erweist sich als Volltreffer. Rick ist nicht nur nett, sondern auch noch unglaublich attraktiv. Es knistert gewaltig zwischen den beiden und der Abend endet im seinem Hotelzimmer...
Am nächsten Tag scheint er verschwunden. Enttäuscht kehrt Lisa nach Hause zurück und versucht ihn einfach nur vergessen.
3 Monate später ist klar, dass dies nicht möglich ist:Die Nacht blieb nicht ohne Folgen – Lisa ist schwanger.
Doch dabei bleibt es nicht: Rick ist der Anwalt ihres Ex-Arbeitgebers und stellt Lisa im Gerichtssaal bloß, wo er nur kann.
War das von Anfang an nur ein Spiel um sie fertig zu machen? Warum sieht er sie in den Pausen dann so lasziv an? Und soll Lisa ihm von dem gemeinsam Kind erzählen?
