Acerca de esta escucha

All this druid wants is to visit Superhero World, snag some exotic tech, and go home. Unfortunately, fate has other plans. What’s a mythological hero to do when he’s forced to become a supervillain to save his world… and himself?

Colin is a druid on a mission. Namely, traveling to an alternate dimension where technology rules, to snag the tech he needs to save his friends in the Hellpocalypse timeline.

At first, it sounds simple. He’ll slip through the timestreams, do a little sightseeing, and go home. Heck, it might even be fun to visit a world where actual superheroes exist.

But for creation’s unluckiest druid, nothing is ever easy. When things go horribly wrong, Colin finds that his magic is almost completely on the fritz.

To complicate matters, he’s soon mistaken for a supervillain, making enemies with the planet’s most powerful superhero in the process.

Stranded in a world where heroes aren’t quite heroic, and where villains have no rights, the druid sees only one path forward…

He’ll figure out his powers and clear his name, all while being hunted by every superhero and government agent on the planet.

At least there’s an upside—things couldn’t possibly get worse, right?

Superhero World is the first novel in a planned superhero fantasy fiction trilogy by paranormal and urban fantasy author M.D. Massey.

Written in the tradition of gritty, realistic comic book fiction, this series follows in the irreverent footsteps of works such as The Boys, Wild Cards, Watchmen, Invincible, and a long list of other trailblazing sci-fi and fantasy worlds too extensive to reference here.

Thank you

Thank you M. D. Massey for shedding light on issues that exist today while still keeping on par with a great storyline. This book made me laugh and cry…in my opinion, that is what makes it great.

Thank you for touching on a sensitive subject.

Thank you for touching on men getting rapped, but not dwelling on it hard. As being a victim of rape, It good to see your strong opinions about it. It gives me a slight sense of hope for the future if enough people stand up, maybe we can eradicate it. So no other child or adult has to go through it.

One Hell of a Good Ride

I love this series, all these characters are so vivid and thought out that they step off the pages. The Author tackles hard to bring to light issues and continues to make Collin the ultimate Druid Badass!! As an 80’s baby this hit all the buttons for me, it was like being in my dream world playing with action figures as form of escapism.

A little dark...

I'm not kean on the superhero's very dark side. However, I enjoyed every book he's written so far and along with his other new series, I very much enjoyed this one too.

tired of short stories

I don't mind using credits for short stories and specially ones from this author I love his work but lately too many big openings have been left with the short stories. I feel it's just a way to build the reader out of more credits anyway great story of course can't wait to part two but if it's only going to be for a moment. it's not worth wasting my credits and money for it.

Poorly recorded

I'll start with the biggest glaring problem! What idiot decided to put the AI Emma's voice so quiet and tinny... You have to turn it up so loud that the main character's voice is blasting to be able to even catch a whisper of what she is saying. And once again every freaking time they whisper in the book they actually whisper... making you stop rewind and turn up the volume?!

I don't know, but the author seemed to love the fact that his character was overconfident frat boy... And not knowing any of the previous books. It made it annoying at times. Wasn't ever really worried for the character... because I knew they'd end up pulling out some different stupid power out of his arse that was ridiculously overpowered to win the day...

The fact that every single person he ran into was either a frat boy "bro" or overtly stereotypical.
Not to mention the book is so short. And the reader reads it even slower to make it seem longer. You have to turn the speed up to 1.2 So it sounds like a normal conversational feed.

You can't go more than a chapter without him bemoaning The fact his powers don't work right?? He only runs through a few basic spells before he sets out... without even testing anything in detail.... it's horribly obvious that the character is only alive due to the writer... Don't know if I'll be continuing on to any of the other ones in the series.
(Not to mention the glaringly obvious point that if his magic doesn't work right in this time branch, then how can he expect the super tech to work when he brings it back if he gets it at all? And if he doesn't since he didn't create it, how in the heck can he modify and fix it? And wouldn't a magical Druid be looking for a magical fix? Not a technological one? ) Ugg! it's as though the writer decided to just throw the druid into a superhero story because they're popular... using the biggest tropes and stereotypes.
