Good Spicy Read

Nice mild spicy read. Would have been better to skip the words in Italian or French as I had no idea what was being said.

Beautiful Story and Wonderfully Narrated

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this book because I loved the details in the story and the inflections in the narrator's tone. Well done! I'd definitely buy another book by this author and narrator.

A perfect introduction to audio books!

Would you listen to Sudden Legacy again? Why?

I would absolutely listen to this again. The narrator speaks beautiful French and Italian. This is the first audio book I have ever listened to, and I'm hooked!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Sudden Legacy?

The love scenes are very erotic and well written, but the thing that makes them shine is the love that develops between the characters. They stumble from complicated first love to a deeper connection. Julian is very swoon-worthy.

What about Cait Frizzell’s performance did you like?

Her performance really brought the characters to life. I felt like she really was Lara, telling me the story. Also, her Italian was perfect. I'm Italian (first generation) and hearing the language of my parents spoken so beautifully was a special treat. (There isn't a lot of foreign language, but the parts that are there are great)

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I was smiling like a fool as I listened to the ending. A big, goofy grin that only a happy ending can bring about. This love story was such an accurate relationship - it wasn't all stars and shivevrs or drama and angst. It was a good mix of two young people trying to figure things out. I loved it!

Are all audio books this good? I really felt like I could see the story playing out in my mind. I hope there are more titles by this author and narrator. Her voice is a perfect fit for the author's words.

steamy, suspense, love

What other book might you compare Sudden Legacy to and why?

The author's website says she wrote it in response to Fifty Shades of Gray, but I don't think it was like that at all. There's no BDSM or any of that nonsense. It is very explicit. The lovemaking is very well written.

Have you listened to any of Cait Frizzell’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, but she has a lovely voice. The reason I gave her 4.5 stars instead of 5 was because I felt she made the man speak a little slower than he spoke in my head when I was reading the book.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Dangerous love - when more than just a broken heart is at stake.

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed this story. My daughter is reading it, and she is upset about certain things the hero does (I don't want to give spoilers, but it involves another woman (NOT cheating, though!)) but I think everything that happens is important to the story, and makes for a good twist.
