The book is a comprehensive guide not only for people who seek a healthy and steady relationship but also for those who want to achieve self-improvement. The author points out an important aspect of maintaining a healthy and intimate relationship: stop trying to be right all the time. When you always try to be right, you blame your partner for being wrong, which is toxic to any relationship. I appreciate the three questions the author suggests we ask ourselves whenever we are in the mood to blame: "Am I making assumptions?", "Have I considered my partner's perspective?", "Did I express myself without attacking?". Thinking about these three questions when having a conflict with your partner can transform it into a constructive conversation. There are many more pieces of wisdom the author shares; I highly recommend this book.
