Still More Psychology in Plain English is the third book in the Psychology in Plain English series. Like the first two volumes of the series, it is an accessible, somewhat folksy book describing principles of psychology and how they relate to real life. Dr. Richards uses anecdotes, personal examples, wicked humor, and explanations honed through 40 years of teaching almost 1000 psychology classes to covers some of his most popular classroom topics.
How do others manipulate us, and vice versa? What makes other people attractive to us and attracts other people to us? How do the genes we inherit affect our behavior, and to what extent? Why are psychology and the law uncomfortable bedmates? How does aging affect our mental abilities? How did you acquire your own particular sexual turn-ons? How does memory work, and is responsible for the situations where it doesn't work? How do people develop prodigious memory abilities?
Topics of this volume include social psychology, genetics, the law and psychology, aging, sexual interests, and memory. The overall result is a scientifically-supported yet easily understandable description of some of the more cutting-edge research in psychology.
