Lars Daneskov fortsætter sin humoristiske og fantasifulde serie om Lulu og Otto og den magiske ønskesten Stenfjæs. "Stenfjæs går igen" er en spøgelsesfuld historie om lejrskole og hjemve, ketchup og usynlige heste og om, hvad der kan ske, når ens ønskesten pludselig kommer i de forkerte hænder.
Lulu og Otto skal på lejrtur med klassen. I to dage skal de bo på Hasselback Slot, hvilket Otto ikke er særlig glad for. Han har nemlig læst, at der bor spøgelser på slottet. Heldigvis forsikrer klasselæreren, Verner Dam, dem om, at spøgelserne på slottet selvfølgelig ikke findes i virkeligheden - selvom man nogen gange godt kunne ønske sig, at de gjorde.
Lulu når lige akkurat at se, hvad det er for en sten, Verner Dam sidder med i hånden, mens han ønsker, og før hun kan nå at forhindre det, har Stenfjæs fået alle spøgelserne på Hasselback Slot vakt til live. Snart står de to venner ansigt til ansigt med den gamle Baron von Schmuksak, hans store kærlighed, køkkenpigen Iris, og især hans meget rasende kone, Bothilde.
Der er nemlig mere mellem himmel og jord, end man måske lige går rundt og tror. Det er bare noget forfærdelig rod, når det også er på det værelse, hvor man selv skal sove. Lulu ved, at det igen er op til hende at få fingrene i Stenfjæs, så verden kan blive sig selv igen.
Stenfjæs-serien er en fuldtonet hyldest til fantasien og det rene børneliv, hvor alt er muligt, og der ikke er noget "fordi", men kun et "tænk nu hvis". Man bliver nemlig aldrig for stor til at være lille.
