Exceptionally Funny and Heartwarming

I enjoyed this book so much. It was equal parts funny and whitty. It also stepped on my toes in all the right ways. Sophie is so great at dropping truth bombs and causing happy tears all in the same chapter. Great writing!

I spend a lot of time listening to audiobooks because I am in my car a lot. Thank you for bringing not only your thoughts but your personality to this audiobook. This has been a tough season for my husband and I. One child had left and moved far away and our second went through some rebellion before leaving and now we have an empty nest. Thank you for reminding me that Jesus is still who I want the world to see when they see me. As always, you encourage us and remind us about who we are walking through this crazy world for. ❤️

Sophie's BEST yet!

As an avid reader, or in this case, a listener, of Sophie Hudson I must say this is by far her best writing yet!
You will laugh, cry, shout Amen, nod your head in agreement, shake it in sympathy and give praise hands when you just want her to keep telling it like it should said.
This book has encouraged me more than I could ever express and I appreciate it so very much.

Sophie’s words and reflections invite me to humility, laughter, action, repentance, and usher me to the feet of Jesus. And listening to the conviction and tenderness in her voice as she reads only enhances the experience.

A WORD

Sophie has been one of my favorite authors since I picked up her first book, A Little Salty to Cut the Sweet, in high school because I thought the cover was cute. Stand All the Way Up has become my favorite of her books. Maybe that’s because I’ve dealt with/am dealing with a lot of the same things she talks about it this book. If you’ve been feeling down or angry about the state of the world, but want to find the joy without sacrificing trying to do what is right and fighting for change, than this book is for you. It’ll make you laugh, it’ll make you cry, it’ll make you crave some Popeye’s chicken 😊
