Eye Opener of a Delight!

I was expecting the normal sleeping his way to the top and ending up falling in love MM rom-com but boy was I in for a surprise with Staking his Claim. I really should have known better because nothing is ever as it seems with a Ki Brightly book and this one written along with M.D. Gregory is no different. It is brilliant! The kink is off the charts! I’ll not go into details as that would be playing spoiler. Suffice to say that this one is blistering hot, lusciously naughty, and laugh out loud funny with fabulous character development and great narration. I absolutely loved it!

I don't actually like politics or political stories but the rest of the book was so good. I highly recommend this book.

Not bad

This book was hard to rate because the kink featured in here wasn’t mine. My biggest complaint is the narrator. I’ve listened to him before and liked him but here he pronounced the Ss so much he sounded like a snake.

So, I Loved Loved Loved the book when I read it. It was totally a secret kink I didn’t know I needed.

So hot.

The other books in the series are so worth the loss of sleep.

Highly recommend.

This narration though... 😬
I had to speed it up to 1.5 to 2 and even then... The basilisk pronunciation and way he dragged out some of the words, I couldn’t finish it. I may eventually try and give it another go.

If you like the narration definitely try this one. I sincerely, highly recommend the book and the rest of the series in book form. I love everything I’ve read by both authors.

An Interesting Kink

All I can say really is that I'm super glad I read this story before listening to the audible. Really loved the story...interesting kink and love Jax and Vane. The narrator not so much...he put too much emphasis on being growly and not natural. So when I first heard his voice I was so disappointed because I loved the story. I made myself finish just because of the story.

I loved this book. Barney Parkwynne really brings this story to life and makes you love the characters even more. Jaxson Bell will do anything to get to climb the ranks of city hall. He has his sights set on Vane Elwood ( deputy mayor). What turned out as sleeping his way up turn into love. Will Vane's kink and a scandal keep them from happiness?

Quick, hot, and dirty. I loved these two and their chemistry was off the charts hot. Two ambitious men doing what they do, then the feelings happen. I enjoyed the power dynamics, and they were an imperfectly perfect fit for each other. Lots going on in the storyline besides smexy kink times. A complex multilayered story that drew me in and I happily got lost in. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did an amazing job bringing the characters and story to life.

Unique Love Story

Another winner from this duo! I adored Jaxson and Vane and the way their relationship developed. I had never read anything with this kink in it before, but it was strangely hot. I will be looking for more stories with this kink. Would definitely recommend!

Not the greatest Narrator

It was a struggle listening to this book. Please don't get me wrong, the story was good and I've listened to other books by this author that I absolutely loved. Unfortunately, the narrator wasn't the greatest. The way he drew out his S's and T's, and certain words, made him sound like a snake. And he was quite slow in reading. I think I would have enjoyed the book, and given it a higher rating, if I would have read it myself, or if a different narrator was reading.

If you like m/m stories with plenty of kink, grab this one. It is really hot!
Barney Parkwynne did a super job narrating it! He has that deep voice that will take you right into the characters.
