Are you Woke? The Right sees being “Woke” as the ULTIMATE EVIL and feels the word deserves to be eradicated from the Earth! The Progressive Left insists “Staying Woke” is an imperative to stave off cultural rot and discrimination. For who doesn't want to "wake up" to injustice and prejudice, right?
How can one single word be viewed with such radically different lenses? Is ‘Wokeism’ a scourge or a panacea? As is the case with most complex issues, perhaps the truth lies somewhere in the middle? But can middle ground even exist for a topic this divisive?
For those who ignore or truly abhor politics (the majority of people), the answer to this question probably comes down to what “your team” thinks:
“If Trump’s for it, then I’m totally against it!!”
or
“If my Party’s for it, then of course I’m for it!!”
If that’s how you shape your opinion on whether you want to be ‘Woke’, please skip over this book; if you’re a “company man” when it comes to forming viewpoints, this read ain’t for you.
