Delightful!

This is the delightful story of a couple who met in high school, had a history class together and took part in a unique classroom project. They lost track of each other and as adults, at the most inopportune time, the wife found out that they were married, really married! How does she contact her husband to tell him, first they're married and, second, she needs a divorce! Cate Farin and Shane Faris have a history and it's pretty low-key. He was the popular guy in school and she was the shy girl who harbored crushes on the other. Other than a kiss at a bonfire, that was as far as it went. Now that they come face to face as husband and wife there are sparks.They have a chance to become more, but before any commitment is made, they have a misunderstanding and Shane leaves. His reason was quite childish, but it fit with his character. Ten months later, he comes back and has a lot of work to do to convince Cate he's all in. They do find their HEA with two epilogues to make it perfect. A highlight of this story is the inclusion of Nikki Faris, sister of Shane, lead singer of Faris Wheel and her husband,Tulsa Crow, Nikki's husband and member of the Crow Brothers band. Well-played, Ms. Scott!  Erin Mallon and Chris Brinkley do an amazing job portraying the characters, bringing them to life and humanizing them with their emotions, attitude and personality. They do more than giving their characters their voices, they fall into the roles and become the character.

so much love and romance in this story. a great listen. a feel good happy read.

I love cat and Shane sooo much

I loved this story. Was is full of drama and angst? Nope. Was it full of love? Yes! And spice! Hells yes! I absolutely loved this story!!!

The accent on the male narrator

This is beautiful story, but the accent on the male narrator jarred. why does a southern California surfer golden boy sound like he was raised in the hills of eastern KY. his accent distracted from the story

LOVED ✨LOVED ✨LOVED ✨THIS

This was a really great listen + a very enjoyable swoony Rockstar romance that I couldn’t stop listening to. Cate (aka Cat) is a Geriatric Nurse, she’s kind and likes balance and structure in her life. She’s about to buy a house.. but her Realtor has some shocking news for her - she’s married!! It’s news to her. So Cate has to do some digging to discover exactly who her husband is - and then divorce him. When Cate finds out her husband is her High School crush Shane Faris who is now a famous Rockstar Drummer with a reputation, she’ll have to track him down. She’ll also start a wonderful relationship that’s taken them 12 years to happen. But, despite their mutual HS crushes and their chemistry, connection and closeness, it isn’t going to be without heartbreak and need a second-chance. However, it definitely will be sexy, have swoons, be romantic, contain heart-to-hearts, include two pink lines, won’t need a third act break up and ends in the best possible way.. 💕. Because Shane puts everything he’s got into winning back the love of his life - the wife he never knew he had.

Worth a credit? Yes I loved this swoony listen - and the excellent dual point of view narration by Erin and Chris brought this well-written wonderful story to life and together they delivered a five star listen.

Great story, vocalizations, and pacing. Really enjoyed Shane's tenderness towards his fake ?, not fake wife.
