Deserts Aren’t Always Quiet

There are now more sounds in deserts because humans, animals and plants live there. And, wind, thunder and periodic rain; roads with cars and trucks, airplanes and trains. But our author searches for places emulating the sounds when people went to deserts for solitude and quiet, e.g ., monks. Recorded sounds are included. Required listening twice for me; I may add a third. Loved this unusual book.
