Jennifer Fulwiler told herself she was happy. Why wouldn't she be? Just when Jennifer had a profound epiphany that gave her the courage to convert, she was diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition and the only treatment was directly at odds with the doctrines of her newfound faith.

loved this book! such a touching and compelling story of her faith journey from atheism to Catholicism! I'm a Catholic and it made me rethink my own journey and faith.

What an inspirational story! Her story telling skills keep you drawn in and I didn’t want it to end.

This book is fun and honest. I enjoyed every minute of it immensely! An autobiography of someones journey to Catholicism and how life never seems to become less complex, but with a bit of humor and faith in the Lord peace is near.

Real and enjoyable

I absolutely enjoyed this book! Learning the story of Jennifer Fulwiler was amazing and so relatable.

Engaging, inspiring & authentic storytelling

I am a cradle Catholic and actively practicing, but realized I often take for granted the profoundness of my faith. This book reinvigorated my love of the Church and sparked in me an eagerness to dig deeper. Between Jen’s authenticity and talented story writing I couldn’t stop listening to this book!

I laughed, I cried, I was inspired. This was an incredible story incredibly told.

Absolutely fantastic

I am recommending this book to every devout Catholic, cultural Catholic, and adamant atheist that I know (or at least, whom the HS directs me to). An incredible autobiography that reminded me, with no exaggeration, of Augustine’s Confessions. Jennifer struggled in an earnest way with nearly every modern impediment to faith, yet God still brought her home, providing an example to thousands if they will just listen to/read the book.

I love this book, I read it 2 years ago initially as I contemplated converting to Catholicism. As a busy mom it’s hard for me to sit down and read books so I am so glad Jennifer finally made this into an audible version and I am now rereading (or listening) to it. I love her conversation story, as it is so much like mine and I feel like I relate to so much of what she has to say. This is a great book for anyone who is atheist or agnostic and is exploring Catholicism, it doesn’t have the cliche Christian sappiness that some Christian apologetics has that I definitely couldn’t relate to and was turned off by (as an atheist). Jennifer Fulwiler is awesome and I recommend this and her other book!
