A perfectly uplifting winter romance to curl up with from Leonie Mack

‘I love Leonie's books - so romantic!' Sandy Barker

When Luna Rowntree gets an unexpected and life-changing legacy from a man she’s never met, she’s determined to find out why – even if it is Christmas Day and her family are expecting her.

So, with only her mother’s ashes for company – it’s a long story, but Luna knows her mother would have wanted to come on the adventure too – Luna sets off in her trusty Astra to the skiing resort in Chamonix, where her mysterious benefactor had lived.

But her little car isn’t designed for driving through snow-covered mountains, and when she runs out of fuel heart-breakingly close to Chamonix, Luna is relieved to be saved by her very own knight-in-shining armour. Well, knight in mountain rescue uniform anyway.

Yannick is charmed if baffled by Luna’s mission, and before he knows it, he has agreed to help. But Yannick has his own secrets calling him from the mountains, and his own reasons to run away. As he helps Luna understand her past he realises he has to face his as well if he’s ever going to risk opening his heart to love.

Curl up with Leonie Mack’s new winter romance. Perfect for fans of Mandy Baggot, Jo Thomas and Sarah Morgan.

‘I love her beautiful settings and brooding heroes!' Sarah Bennett

Authors love Leonie Mack:

'As funny as it is emotional, the story is full of tender moments and hilarious escapades' Helen Hawkins

'A wonderfully escapist read about second chances' Carryl Church

'A masterclass in how to put characters in near-impossible situations and bring them out on the other side in a totally believable way. A treat of a book – knotty premise, vivid characters and deft plot all equally good' Sue Moorcroft

'An addictive, emotional rollercoaster of a romance, drenched in sunshine and laughter' Emma Jackson

Romance in the French Alps

This lovely romance begins on Christmas and continues through the winter as it slowly turns to spring on the mountain slopes. The characters are lovely, the setting marvelous, and the story even has a couple more surprises than I expected. Loved all the skiing and climbing background, and just enough French to feel authentic. 💕

I was captivated by the story and setting

Wow! The narrator, Karen Cass, did an incredible job reading this amazing story. The story was sweet, yet it had a bit of intrigue and excitement. The other main character in this story is Chamonix, France itself. Well done.

Original Plot

About 75% of this story is good descriptions of the French alps, skiing, climbing and rescue efforts. Somewhat boring for me. The narrator was great but the French dialog was a bit distracting from the story but this added to the original plot. This story could be shorter with the same impact.

Heavy feelings

I laughed and I cried and I swooned a little. I was expecting a lighter rom com, but this story made me feel deep. I loved the happy and heartfelt ending.
