So encouraging and heart wrenching!
I really enjoyed the story-telling Michaela (the author and narrator) does in this book. There are times when she was "all business" in telling the story and other times, my heart ached for her pain, that I could feel, and I can relate to all too well. It had to be the most difficult and rewarding experience to write this book - and I am so glad it has a happy ending, as many do not. She gives great little nuggets of things you can do and great advice on how to love an addict without completely losing yourself...or if you do, how to get back to your "center". This book does not sugar coat anything and, at least for me, was what I needed to hear. Never give up on loving each other!
