A favourite character

JP and Joanna Brady are my two favourite Jance detectives. this was a fun story to listen to and I look forward to hearing more in the future

Surprised

I had hesitated buying this book because the first JP book I had bought had such trashy language but I have most of the J.A. Jance other series and love them. The sample didn't have any objectional language so I took a chance and so glad I did. I really like this book. It kept me guessing to the end and was well performed . I will now see how far back I can go on the series before I hit a language problem.

Well written and performed!

This was a different kind of story. Sure, it had all the hallmarks of a good mystery, however it had something else - a story of recovery from someone who has been there and knows that recovery is a lifelong process.

terrible rendition

sounds as if the v.o. reader is trying to be dramatic but missing the mark. also butchering the sentences.
very distracting from the story

One of my favorites! A well-woven tale. Loved every chapter. Great entertainment.
Can't wait for the next one.
Whether in an electric scooter even, may JP Beaumont continue his private eye endeavors!

JP's new job

J.P. Beaumont is on a case that hits way too close to home. The action is at a sedate pace since he is older now. I'm not so sure I like him tossing money at all the problems he encounters, but if you got it, spend it.


The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Alan Sklar does J.P. justice.

Loved the characters

I enjoyed everything about this book. The twists and turns of events. The compassion of the main character and how he investigated the situations.

There is no R in Washington, JP would know that - good book. LOVE JP Beaumont!

A visit with an old friend.

I loved this- I loved the narrator's gravelly voice, Lucy and the story line. I love that JP owns his past good and bad.

Glad to have another chapter in the story of J P Beaumont. well written and narrated.
