Great but too much TikTok

Mr. Derulo provided great and simple advices as well as insights as to what real success requires. However, there was a bit too much raving about Tik Tok to my liking.

Also a little tip to Mr. Derulo regarding body and mind. The mind doesn’t control the body. It’s you who control your mind and therefore the body too. And you’re not your mind - nor your body. Don’t want to get too philosophical in this review but just ask yourself: who’s watching? If you’re able to observe your thoughts - that is your mind, then who’s watching? ;)

Amazing listen!

I really enjoyed this audio book. I'm so happy Jason DeRulo narrated his book- you could definitely hear the passion in his voice as he read. I learned a lot about his career path that I didn't know about which was very inspiring. It was also fun to learn 'behind the scenes' knowledge with some of his stories he shared.

I do feel like parts of the book were a little heavy on discussing social media and how to succeed with it which I wasn't expecting or really looking for. I also had hoped he would discuss how he juggles his insane schedule and having a son, but the focus was definitely how to succeed in your career and stick with the grind. His work ethic is admirable and he has overcome so many obstacles to get where he is. Excited for his new album!

Uniquely blended

I’m a big fan of psychology/ motivational books, and I picked this because my daughter is in college for music production and has a dream to sing as well. I bought the book for her as a Xmas gift after listening to it myself first. It is a perfect blend of interesting humorous facts about the author, like a biography, and practical instructions like a guidebook, as well as modern Philosophy of the mind. Jason did exactly what he talks about in the book, a mashup of all these genres in his writing, this time in a book instead of a song. I know my daughter is going to love it. I highly recommend it.
