Ever had a toothache? A headache? A back pain that keeps coming back again and again? As much as we hate it, pain is universal. To paraphrase one of the four noble truths of the Buddha, pain (or suffering) is an inescapable part of life. No one is exempt from it.
Most of us don't usually give much thought to the subject of pain, unless we are in the grips of a blinding migraine or something as agonizing. But it would do us good to have a good grasp of this subject, so that we will know what to do when we or a family member needs relief from pain. We never know when the knowledge of how to deal with pain will come in handy. This knowledge will also help us to make smarter decisions when selecting the right pain medication to take.
With this in mind, this book will discuss what pain is, what causes it, and how to treat it safely. Also included in this book are numerous methods and tips to help cure pain, using both conventional and not-so-conventional means. It is hoped that you will find these techniques useful in relieving pain that you or a loved one experiences.
