Outstanding Perspective on the Evolution of the Conservative Movement, and the Devolution of GOP to become MAGA

BTC provides an outstanding perspective on how the GOP party has devolved to become a party without a cause other than to destroy any form of government in the United States. From congress members like Matt Gatz and MTG, to Trump, the GOP/MAGA movement is not focused on improving this country, but focused on turning back to clock at any cost. From embracing white nationalist, to defunding programs and then declaring them somehow, ironically, unable to function. Well worth the read. I only wish there was a way to get more voters to read this big picture perspective.

The comparisons

After 71 years on this planet. After working fifty years as an RN looking so forward to retirement with my husband of thirty-nine years and raising two amazing young men did I ever believe my hardest challenge would being a part of working to protect our democracy…my rights as a woman and to protect those rights for all girls that will be here when I am gone. But…I sleep well knowing WE WILL NOT GO BACK! Every citizen should LISTEN to this young author tell you in his words what a scary world the far right has made this country for our kids all in the name of power, greed and money!! It’s time to stand up and say “HELL NO!!”

Brian did a wonderful job with this book. I am a big fan of his and follow his YouTube and Instagram presentations. I also never miss his podcasts. I’m 81 and have lost sleep over what Trump and the Republicans are doing to my country. Brian has kept me off the ledge and gives me hope for the future of my country, and for my grandchildren’s future as Americans.

Amazing story telling

Brian can write but more so his voice is something I can listen to over and over. Amazing writing and this is why I watch his YouTube videos every day. Thank you so much for all you do for this democracy.

I watch Brian's YouTube daily, so I'm obviously biased towards his commitment to Accurate information.

The way he tells a grand narrative with many personal and relevant examples

I wish it was longer. I would read his second book right now. It's all great to have a political author who I don't have to guess what he's saying.

Riveting, encapsulating, and eye opening

I’m a long time follower of BTC, mostly because of his unapologetic delivery of clap-back facts on the right-wing media machine. He’s a breath of fresh air, who has given me hope to keep going forward when it seemed against the odds, politically speaking. His book is more of that fast-paced, unapologetic, thoughtful, articulate, stripped down information. It primes the pump of democracy and injects a much needed, realistic infusion of plain-talk politics, particularly for Democrats, liberals and progressives. Example: Here’s how/where it started, here’s what the results were, here’s what we should do going forward. Practical, logical, intelligent. I loved that Brian isn’t a political animal. I love that I can relate to him as an everyday person who mirrors my own political values. I wish this was required reading for all Americans.
