Acerca de esta escucha

Serious men don’t eat red Popsicles.

Brett Hunter’s life isn’t unicorns and rainbows, and it sure isn’t sparkles. He’s a businessman, a disciplined man, a money man, and if he ever believed in magic, it was a long time ago. He’s not a hero, and he doesn't play one on TV. Oh, and he really doesn't like the water.

What’s he doing, then, on an Australian beach in a custom-made Italian suit, up to his waist in the waves and helping a red-haired mermaid save the day?

No matter how crazy his life gets, not being in control isn’t an option, and neither is veering from his path or falling for mermaids. Also, serious men don’t eat red Popsicles.

The best yet!

Loved Brett and Willow’s story. It was full of so much adventure: sharks, dolphins, hot air balloon, accidents, food poisoning, broken bones, scheming mistresses, a chef and a billionaire. What more could you want? Never a dull moment. And to top it all off the best romance ever. Also props to Emma Wilder as narrator. I’m an avid listener to all of Rosalind James’ books and Ms Wilder is my absolute fave. Spot on!!! Lol I loved it so much I’m ready to listen again.

Would be a sin not to listen to this book

Well that would be my favourite in this series so far.
Excitement and drama in the first first few pages and a story to keep us guessing throughout the book.
Ms James’s usual steam between her lead characters and her ability to make you feel like you’ve travelled to the destinations in her books. I loved Dave the driver, really hope he gets his own story. Loved the footy references as well
Spoiler
Heads up though, Dave’s footy team didn’t win the Grand final.
Ms James is an automatic purchase for me.
I received a free copy of this book in return for my honest opinion, this opinion is my own and I was not compensated in any way.

Brett and Willow

My original review for the story follows, but first, my review of the narration: Emma Wilder does a great job narrating the audiobook. I enjoy her ability to create the characters with unique voices. She is superb at switching from an American accent to New Zealand and back again. Such a treat to listen to.

I really like this series, a lot! I enjoyed Guilty as Sin and Tempting as Sin, but I could not imagine Sexy as Sin. Brett Hunter just did not seem like a real hero when we met him, but in this book he seems better than a hero. He is a hero with foibles, fears, and sometimes just plain bad luck. He is so much more than I expected. And Willow, well she is independent, adventurous, and definitely her own person, yet not. Brett and Willow have differences, lots of them, but they compliment each other well. And Author Rosalind James can sure tell a good story. I give this one five stars. The characters are well-developed, the emotions are plentiful, and the locations are special. I am looking forward to more!

Wonerful

Rosalind James never ever disppoints me. I've read all of her books and listened to all of her audiobooks. Sexy as Sin is book 3 in the Sinful Montana series, but it definately could be a stand alone book. There are charecters fron the other 2 books but if you didn't know the stories you would never know. That's what I love about her series books. They could be all stand alone, but so much better when you read them all. Brett and Willow are so different yet the similarities are what brings them together. I like how they stay with each other through both of their issues that come up. As far as Emma Wilder is concerned I don't think anyone could do a better job. She does the different acents and men's voices so good sometime I forget there's only 1 narrater.
Although I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.”

Very much enjoyed...

Sexy as Sin was another great story by this author. Brett and Willow have an undeniable attraction. Their similarities only add to that attraction, and getting to know them as a couple was very enjoyable as was listening to this narrator. I definitely recommend this book.

So Good!

I'll second another reviewer: this is, by far, the best of the three! While I did enjoy the first two, this one just felt richer and fuller in every way. Whereas I had little to no opinion of Brett Hunter in the first two books, he is thoroughly fleshed out in this one, and, my god, I love him so! And Willow...wow, she is a great character, probably one of my all-time favorites! She's got that perfect blend of ingredients that makes the quintessential heroine: feistiness, tempered by level-headed rationality; charisma and vivacity; wit and cleverness; down-to-earth quirkiness; guileless authenticity; and both humility and self-respect.

Emma Wilder is phenomenal! Her male voice is so impressive. She is quite talented at portraying a diverse range of characters. She's definitely one of the best narrators I've heard.

YUMMY!

Is there anything better in life than a book with excellent sex and food? Actually for it to be real life would be better but I won't hold my breath.
I loved this story when I read the book and listening to it with Emma Wilder's narration makes it even better! It has all the requirements from a hot millionaire, hot food and a hot Australian summer.

Wonderful Treat To Listen Too

This is book 3 in Ms. James’ Sinful, Montana series although this novel actually takes place in Bryon Bay, New South Wales, Australia. The lead characters in this story are Brett Hunter who was a secondary character in the earlier books. And Willow Sanderson is talented and fearless chef.

There are some of the wonderful, beautiful, mysterious creatures of Oz in there. Although I do have to state, I am not happy that drop bears are missing. Drop bears are one of the iconic mythical creatures of Australia that deserve to be mentioned.

But aside from the lack of drop bears, this book definitely checks off everything needed for a sweet and sexy romance read. Sweet handsome hero? Yes. Strong intelligent fun female? Yes. Stunning setting? Yes. Worth investing a weekend to read? Oh definitely, yes. In other words, a wonderful book written by Ms. James.

Although this is book #3 in a series, each book can be read as a stand alone. Although it is nice to read all of the books in a series since they are all well written. So grab a Passion Pop if you can find one or failing that a good Shiraz from an Australian vineyard and block out your weekend to listen to this novel. Or do what I do which is listen to it on my way to school in the wee hours of the morning and on the way home so I can decompress.

The narrator, Ms. Emma Wilder, is a talented voice artist. She has read most of Ms. James' other audio books. And I just finally realized it was also her voice that I had heard on other audio books I have listened to by other authors I enjoy. While the writer is certainly the one who makes or breaks a book, when listening to an audio book, the narrator can either make it or break. Ms. Wilder definitely makes any novel she reads.

I have discovered that I like listening to audio books while I knit since I do not have to worry about turning pages and such. And I am someone who has a habit of reading a novel and if I really like it, I will listen to it as an audio book a time or two.
