Self defense is about not having rules and regulations to prevent you from doing what it takes to overcome a greater force.

Violent situations are handled differently depending on the individuals involved and the reason for the attack due to anger, or emotions, or attacks committed during a crime. The laws, rules and regulations that govern the use of force for officers do not apply to the average citizen who becomes a victim of a violent attack.
