Acerca de esta escucha

Natalie Mosley Klenotic became a Navy widow when she was in her early twenties, when her beloved husband, Tom, was crushed by a weapon’s elevator while on duty on the US Navy Ship The Flint.

But Natalie and Tom’s love … and communication … didn’t end that awful night, just because he suddenly found himself in the great beyond of the afterlife. He called her the night he died, and he has continued to speak to her for the thirty years since his death.

It is their incredible love for each other that forever connects them, the same deep love that saved them both from dysfunctional childhoods that they somehow managed to survive together in the Indiana town they grew up in.
In this powerful debut memoir, Natalie shares their story – many times, through the wonderful, heartfelt letters they wrote to each other. It’s a powerful testament to a love story that truly has no ending.

PRAISE FOR SEE YOU LATER:

“Having served in the Marine Corps and spent a tour at sea, this book spoke to me. But what if the pain could be even more traumatic? What if you were there when your loved one was killed? Actually on board the vessel when it happened. Heard the wail of the sirens calling emergency personnel to the grisly scene. What if you were privy to seeing the ravaged body of your beloved deceased before it could even be made more presentable? And then you were expected to go home and continue raising your little girl alone. Somehow shed the horrors only those of us who sign up for it are expected to live with and just keep getting up every morning and facing another day. Could you do that? Could I? Raw. Brutal. But beautifully written. A tale of grit and stubborn instinct to survive from one of my heroes.”

Two years before Natalie’s loss of the love of her life at a young age, I had the same dreadful experience. I know the weight that fell on her soul; I know those moments when even one more day, one more STEP, seemed impossible. I know, as far as anyone can, her tragedy… and her triumph. In reading this story, you will find a heart, raw and open, truths that she must tell even if she might regret it… and the enduring love that redeems and rescues a soul driven to the brink. Natalie has lightened my load by sharing a little of it. She is living proof that there is peace and joy and love waiting, even after a horror like this one just rips the heart out of you."

“See You Later is a fantastic, original look into the mind of a girl in her formative teenage years. The reader will find themselves immersed in the author's school life, relationships, traumatic home life, and into early adulthood. Featuring excerpts from Natalie’s diaries you will find yourself crying and celebrating with and for the author. Well-written, intelligent, funny, charming, and heart-breaking, you won’t want to put this book down. Natalie and Tom’s love for one another is what everyone hopes they experience at least once in their short lives. You never once question their devotion for one another; not even from the beyond.”

United States Navy Spouse

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

I’m a married mother of three grown children, grandmother of two grandchildren, and I am an entrepreneur of Mid Century, specifically rehabbing Heywood Wakefield pieces and Hollywood Regency lamps. I also still enjoy reading (and obviously writing), my pet dachshund mixes, and antiquing. I spend my free time with my children or traveling to some far-off vintage store. I also still strongly support our men and women serving our country. They are true heroes.
