A great story and lore for the game

The perfect companion if you are thinking about joining the game or standalone a good book.

The Lore SOT Superfans Beg For

If you love the game, you'll love the book. It's a back and forth duel prequel to the videogame, and it's quite satisfying to listen to; though, it would probably be quite confusing to an average reader if you haven't a clue what the Sea of Thieves are. Then again, I didn't go into it with no context, but perhaps if you did, there'd be enough provided to get the grasp? Either way, I enjoyed it. Far from my favorite book... but a dang good one nevertheless.

This is hands-down one of the best stories that connects a video game or pre-established lore to new facts and information which expands upon said lore.

I thoroughly loved every second of the present-day crew and how we the audience were learning things through the eyes of the main character Larinna. It was so much fun hearing why cannons can shoot pirates out of them, why pirates can die and come back to life and explaining and hearing the history of the different legendary chests and curses in the game.

It was equally as enjoyable hearing the origin story being told by the crew in the past and seeing how everything was tying together and establishing the current lore that we have learned to love by playing the game.

I cannot wait for the next book and I cannot wait to get all of the comics/graphic novels. This is an amazing community and the content keeps giving us so much more amazing lore.

made me appreciate sea of thieves and the lore 10x. if you play sea ofbthieves and want an in depth origin story, this be it.

Listened beginning to end more than 5 times and I keep coming back for those long work days and drives.

You don't need to have played the games too understand the story at all, however it's way more fun if you have.
Not a single complaint to be had with this story, and the fact that it takes place in our world in an undiscovered part of the sea is all the more immersive.
