Natürlich denken wir bei dem Begriff "Science Fiction" unmittelbar an "Krieg der Sterne" oder "Raumschiff Enterprise", doch liegen die Anfänge des Genres weit in der Vergangenheit. Bereits im 18. Jahrhundert schrieb Jonathan Swift mit "Gullivers Reisen" einen frühen Klassiker der sogenannten "Zukunftsliteratur".
