This book is full of 20 short stories that focus on being "scary". The stories are all different with some being ghosts and other scary themes. It was a great read and I liked to read one a night before bed.

Chills in every single story

I wasn’t expecting to get this creeped out so fast! These stories are short, but they don’t waste time getting to the scary part. I listened to a few at night with the lights off and immediately regretted it—in the best way. Some had unexpected twists, and a couple seriously gave me goosebumps. It’s the perfect mix of creepy, weird, and fun. Great if you love horror but don’t have time for full novels. I also shared a few with friends during a late-night hangout and we were all hooked. Definitely a fun and spooky pick.

Spooky and Creepy stories that kept me hooked!

I really enjoyed this collection. Each story was short enough to listen to in one sitting, but still had that eerie feeling that stuck with me. Some were creepy, some were more suspenseful, and a few gave me actual chills. The pacing was great, and the narrator did a good job bringing the tension to life. This audiobook gave me exactly what I was craving—bite-sized fear with just the right amount of chill. Each story was like opening a new door into the unknown.
I really liked how varied the stories were—some felt classic, like tales you'd tell on a stormy night with the lights out, while others leaned more psychological or even subtly disturbing. The narrators did a great job shifting tones to match the vibe of each piece, which made the transitions between stories feel fresh instead of repetitive.
This collection doesn’t rely on gore or jump scares—it’s more about that creeping unease that makes your mind race.

Chills Before Bedtime, Exactly What I Wanted

I listened to this at night with my headphones on, and wow, some of the stories had my heart racing. They don’t rely on gore, which I appreciated. Instead, it’s the suspense, atmosphere, and psychological tension that get under your skin. A few of the twists genuinely surprised me, especially one involving a missing person and a voicemail. The narrator’s pacing was perfect for each tone shift. Not every story was equally strong, but even the weaker ones had cool ideas. Great variety in length and tone. I’ll be replaying this around Halloween for sure.

Perfect Length for a Quick Scare Fix

I love scary stories but don’t always have time for a full novel, so this was perfect. Each story runs short enough to finish during a walk or lunch break. What I liked most was the range—some supernatural, some realistic, some just plain eerie. A couple gave me actual goosebumps, especially one with an old radio in a cabin. The collection reminded me of Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark but geared toward adults. It’s easy to jump in and out, which made it addicting. Will definitely be recommending this to my horror-loving friends.
