In fact, they may have more to fear than just the walking dead in the person of Alcatraz's reigning Chosen One, the charismatic proponent of law and order Jefferson Bascomb, who believes zombies have the right to a fair trial.

BAGS OF MONEY ARE USELESS IN ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE!!
Still with the bags of money storyline??? At what point do you realize that money is worthless in a Zombie Apocalypse.
You want to believe that Halverson is a smart badass character, yet he continues making stupid choices.
This book also completely forgot to explain how all of a sudden the Zombies started working as a team?? Are they being directed by a smart zombie?? I don't mind the story going in that direction, but to not address this obvious departure from traditional zombie canon with nary an explanation is weak.
I'm still giving this story a chance with the hope that the next book will be better.
Not the worst but not the best either. I would recommend the book, however only to zombie/apocalypse genre fans.
