Pulls u into the story...
I absolutely loved this book! The narration is so good it pulled me right in. This book was so well detailed that I could imagine being there. The characters are very well written, To the point I felt I knew them. Just gripping!

Frightening, Fascinating and Brilliant!
Professor Cole brought three young grad students into the deep backwoods of the Appalachian Mountains to assist him in a research project. A supposedly safe, boring, mundane research project about long dead religious fanatics. It was supposed to be an easy credit. It wasn’t supposed to be their worst nightmare come to life! Frightening, fascinating, riveting and fabulously disturbing, “Salvation Mountain” is a creepy good listen! Brilliantly written with an imaginative plot that held more than a few surprises, this one truly gave me a case of the the shivers! No spoilers! I don’t want to ruin the fun for anyone! The characters deliciously run the full spectrum of sanity from “normal”, to “slightly deranged” with a few absolutely “bat $&@? crazy”, tossed in for good measure! Regardless of sanity level, all are beautifully, brilliantly defined and developed! The dialogue they speak not only moves the story forward brilliantly, it perfectly fits their uniquely individual sanity levels! The scene setting is also brilliantly written, giving the listener all the necessary information to understand the history, plot, locations, etc., and does so in a manner that adds to the story rather than detracting, heightening interest immensely! As a wonderful bonus, the story and characters are vibrantly brought to life through engaging, entertaining and emotionally on point narration, making this listen a five star experience on all levels! I loved it!

Excellent listen. Don’t miss it
Just finished this riveting novel. I found myself transported to the site of the story and the narration was so realistic that I actually had chills at certain parts of story. This narration will grip you and you will want to continue to listen to the end, which is very worth doing.
