In a season celebrating peace and joy, December is often anything but peaceful and joyful. After seeing a challenge online, Pastor Gregg Matte read one chapter of the Gospel of Luke each day of December, recording his reflections in a devotional.
Spending time in the entire story of Jesus—from birth to death, to resurrection and ascension—centers us on the true reason for the season. We serve a Savior who was born and a Savior who is risen! Our celebration at the manger flows from our celebration at the cross.
This set of twenty-five devotionals seeks to center us on the beauty of the full story of the Gospel of Luke with a reflection for each day in December leading up to Christmas. By Christmas Day, just maybe, you will have a renewed sense of joy and peace as you center your heart on Who and why we celebrate Christmas.
