St. Jean de Luz is a beautiful french beach town located in the basque country. Here are some things you can do during your month here:
- Enjoy the beaches: St. Jean de Luz is famous for its sandy beaches, and there are many to choose from. You can spend your days soaking up the sun, swimming, surfing, paddleboarding, or even outrigging.
- Taking a walk: The town is full of charming streets and squares, and there are plenty of places to explore. Walk along the seafront, visit the market, or stroll through the historic center.
- Explore the Basque country: St. Jean de Luz is in the heart of the Basque country. Visit the nearby towns of Biarritz, Bayonne, Pamplona, Hendaye, San Sebastian, or take a hike in the nearby Pyrenees mountains.
- Sample the cuisine: Try the pintxos (Basque-style tapas), the seafood, or the famous gateau Basque.
- Visit historical sites: The 17th-century church of St. John the Baptist, the Maison de l’Infante (a 16th-century Basque house), or the Chateau d’Urtubie (a medieval castle).
