Nita, the author and artist of this book started painting batiks when the word "batik" appeared in her meditation. Initially apprehensive about calling herself an artist, she plucked her courage and self-published this book. Inspired by creative women who came before us, she made the decision to believe in her art, in what she has to offer to world, she has since found peace and freedom through and with this ancient art form as a meditation instrument. Martha Graham once said “there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique.” And if we block this expression, it will be forever lost. So it is not your business to judge whether you are good enough. But it is your vocation to keep the channel open.
