Slow start but amazing read.

Save for a few typos (or misreads) and an American girl with oddly placed British Commonwealth terms and phrases, Riven is amazing. The plot progression started off slow, but when I got toward the ending, it really picked up. The story itself unfolded in a way I didn't anticipate, which is what made me love it. I hadn't read any blurb or promo material before I dove in, but the unexpected at the end was oddly refreshing. Between the narration and the plot, I was so immersed in the story that I was crying during the denouement like I was somehow involved in what happened. Excellent storytelling by both ladies.

Wow, what a roller coaster read...

This story was so unexpected. Complex relationships between the characters as well as an unexpected and heart wrenching ending. Well narrated.

An emotional listen

I really enjoyed listening to this book. It had some ups and downs and was great story. I'm not going to lie it was an emotional read. There were a couple of twists that I didn't expect and some I did. I have not previously read or listened to this author before but I would definitely listen or read another book by her. I liked the characters (well most of them). The plot was engaging and kept me listening. I also enjoyed listening to the narrator her voice was smooth and easy to listen to. I would recommend both the author and books read by this narrator to others.

Emotional

This was a great love story that makes you laugh, sigh, get angry and cry! It is beautifully written and the narration was great!

Love it! Hate it! Gah! It is excellent!

This book! Gah! This Book!! I want to love it but yet hate it. They story is riveting! I could not stop listening! I wanted, hoped and wished for a happy ending. But this author grabbed that hope and gave it to me then took it away and stomped upon it.

This story is outstanding. It pulled me in...made me care, laugh and cry. I was shocked, pleased and frustrated. But overall...perfectly done. The characters are easy to like and love. I laughed with them and at them. Even the secondary ones stood up to be counted.

This is my first book by this author. I will be looking into more from her. I did listen to this on audio. The narrator did a great job with each of the characters. She is a first time listen as well.

Loved loved this book!

This book was perfection! The great story line, the supporting characters really did give excellent meaning to the story but the main characters were superb...a different kind of love the way they started and how developed. The fact that ended the way it did it made it more real because not every wonderful love story have a happy ending. Loved it ❤️❤️

karma

Hopefully, selfish sarah has learned some life lessons, and karma has its' rewards! In the end, sarah retained too much from a lost relationship. She needed more oain and suffering , imo. She was a lose people user, and gets no empathy from me. Maybe somebody can use her!!! I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job.

Good novel with unexpected ending!

This was an enjoyable novel with some twists and unexpected turns. Although the ending was not a happy one, this was worth the read! The narrator was great as well.
