Hard but wonderful!
This book actually made me cry and whisper over and over, "No, don't, please don't." My only critique would be that because the story moves back and forth in time and explores various timelines, it can feel unfocused and rambling. The story, though, is wonderful and challenging. Tochi Onyebuchi takes your breath away as a narrator. Share this with younger family members and then talk about it.

LOVED IT! Tochi Onyebuchi explores with elegance and his unique writing style the issues of race, alienation, anger, loneliness, injustice, hardship, power, strength, trauma, repression, acceptance, filial love, and so much more. Everywhere All At Once

injustice and super hero powers
An interesting story that makes a point but with a pessimistic ending. Not that I can blame the characters in the book. but it feels like nothing was resolved unfortunately. But this book is worth the read. It's short and gets its point across. I look forward to other work from this author.
