Lane Austin would do almost anything for his local firehouse, even model for a sexy calendar. But now he's allowed himself to be talked into auctioning himself off. What was he thinking?
Abby has just walked away from a terrible relationship that should have ended years ago. What better way to celebrate than having her cousin take her to watch a bunch of firemen be auctioned off to horny housewives? But when Jenna secretly buys Mr. September for her, her entire world and all of her preconceptions about hunky men will change forever.

I liked all the other players in the book, Iian, Allison, Angie, Walter and Jenna. There was a little problem with Lane’s ex-girlfriend but that really didn’t last long. The OMG moment came with the plane crash and the swim through the freezing lake then the run through the flames of the fire that the plane caused.
There was some sexual attraction and 2 or 3 nicely written sex scenes. There was small swear words but that was all.
As to the narrator: He has a nice reading voice but he is without emotion. He didn't laugh or whisper or shout or anything else the book called for, and his women’s voices were a little too masculine. I would listen to him again but I wouldn’t go out of my way to find more books he’s narrated.
A good read..

The narration was really monotone. I listened to it at 1.0x and I have to admit that that was WAY too slow but I doubt that even at faster speeds, his reading would have more modulation. It just felt like he was reading the story, not playing the roles. He did a good job with the differentiation between the male and female voices, however.
good book, narration a bit monotone
