Not what you might expect

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

This turns out to be somewhat of a spiritual offering ( I don't want to be more of a spoiler than that ) so I suppose the listener would need to be "into that sort of thing".

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The actual descriptive middle section of the book was fascinating, as was the conclusion. There were no totally dull or uninteresting parts.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Yes, very much so. Well done, esp. for a 2 voice story.

Do you think Redeye needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No, it is complete unto itself.

Take flight to the Twilight Zone

I enjoyed this immensely. The narration and production is top notch. I was a little surprised by the fact that it's set sometime in the 1970's but once I adjusted accordingly I had great fun. I'm not going to spoil it but the story has a nice message too, very much in the tradition of the Twilight Zone.

A great story about horror, and also of love.

It takes a little while to place all the playing pieces, but when the story starts unfolding it's a crazy ride into darkness with no place to escape to. The story keeps you guessing what the heck is happening for a while, and when you figure it out then it becomes a race against time and a story of redemption. Very well written. The ending was refreshingly unpredictable and I applaud that (don't you just hate it when you figure out the ending 3/4 of the way in?). This was my second book from G. Norman Lippert, the first being "The freezing season" which I absolutely loved, give that one a read too.

Suspenseful and Interesting

Hope never dies. The unique plot mixed with interesting characters made it a great listen.

Great narration!

Really enjoyed the story and the narration by Steve White and Jeannie Lin. A nice listen for a shorter road trip.

Interesting read

This was an interesting concept, with a neat performance. The interplay between the two narrator voices - both very engaging actors - made listening to it more dramatic.
The story is less about a plane trip than something more metaphysical, and I'm not sure I or the author ever decided whether it was a thriller or psychological sci-Fi. But I enjoyed it.

This story set in the 70's, is right out of either Twilight Zone or maybe Alfred Hitchcock Presents. The plane is going to the passengers final destination or is it. One man must figure it out.Unexpected ending, all I can say is WOW!!!!!!!

The narration was well done.The characters were well portrayed.

This was a short,fun,horror book.Henry was creeped out by the reactions people were having prior to deciding not to board the plane.He had second thoughts himself.Once on the plane he knew it was destined for tragedy. Steve White is fine as the main narrator,as is Jeanine Le as sometimes narrator.I was given this book free for an honest review.

Like a Twilight Zone Radio Dram

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

The unique narration style, using both male and female narrators, gives this story a unique drama and listenability, similar to classical radio dramas.

What other book might you compare Redeye to and why?

The dark fairy tale brevity of this story reads almost exactly like early Stephen King/Richard Bachman novellas.

Which scene was your favorite?

The dialogue between all three of the evil stewardesses and our protagonist was pure delight, with Jeannie Linn portraying all three women with viciously unique voices and personalities.

This story is a rare mix of horror, black comedy, and morality play. Somehow it works on all three levels without diluting itself in any way.
