Yes, please!

This is one of my favorite science fiction series of all time. It's fun, witty, ridiculous, and the characters are absolutely fantastic.
Paul Heitsch delivers time and again in each book of this series. He is able to impart a distinct characteristic and tone of voice for each of the many different types of characters and peoples.
I sincerely hope to see many more books in this series for years to come.

Another entertaining adventure tale; that, delivers the requisite energy and action. Another tale hard to put down once one embarks on the reading.

This last book seems really cobbled together with many inconsistencies. It does not feel like anything really progressed except a ton of questions of how in the world the author was able to get this passed the editors..

darker than the earlier books

Darker story line. Love the narrator. He really makes the characters come to life.

Another Fantastic Installment

Book 8 please! As always the characters are vibrant and the story fast paced. Keep them coming.

Different But Still Awesome!

I really love this series, really can't get enough of it, I wish there were 100 books in this series. I could honestly listen to it all the time and never get bored or off the edge of my seat.

Second read through, just as good.

Two small notes-

This book in particular seems rushed. A lot going on, and with almost all of it being highly pertinent to both the book arc and the series arc, I can't think of any that could/should have been cut in order to expound more on the others. The author seems too attached to a page limit/~8hr run time. You're not paying for paper or tape! For every 1 person you lose because they think it's 'too long' or 'too detailed', you'll gain 2 or 3 people who actively follow the series! If you're doing it for pure greed, than bust it into 2 books. Regardless- rushing through scenes and cramming things in is the worst of the 3 options.

The second point is a small one, but worth mentioning given that the series is typically one of the better out there at maintaining it's specific blend of hard science + 1-2 defined handwave technologies. It doesn't matter how desolate the planet is, it's not "-200 degrees kelvin". Interstellar space is ~3 degrees kelvin. Absolute Zero (complete cessation of molecular motion) is 0 degrees kelvin. I would have even given it to you if it was an off the cuff by Bourke, but Cage read it off of a display! You're better than that.
