Sublime story craft

I watched the film and was drawn to read the book. The detail, the oppulent dance with words, the peril as described...and the recipes. I am looking forward to book 2 in the trilogy.

Great storyline and the ending keeps you thinking long after the book is complete. Waiting for the follow up!

Excellent story

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The story line was gripping and the reader was fantastic. The only negative for me was the blasphemy by the CIA agents. I cringed every time I heard it and found it completely unnecessary.

Memorable and interesting book! Hard to.stop listening to. Russian pronunciation could be more accurate though it was a nightmare to hear such mizpronounciation

This book was an excellent combination of well researched fact and fiction. So gripping I could barely stop listening! It is the best book of its genre that I have enjoyed in a long while. I can’t wait to dive into the second in the trilogy x

A Possible Insider Perspective of Putin's Russia

A well crafted story that is also well written. It can give us an insider's perspective of Russia today.
Prefer the ending in the movie version with a poetic justice.
