What have I done?

Nardus has retrieved the Stone of the Dead which is fused with his body. The decision that assaults Nardus now is what should he do with the stone? Before, only his family and bringing them back were the only thoughts in his head. Now, knowing the power of the stone, he questions whether or not he should give the stone to the mage. His last thought in the prior volume was, “What have I done?”. Nardus remains consumed with internal issues. Twins Aria and Alderan deal with separate issues. Aria drops out of sight, mesmerized by Lord Rosi. Alderan is avoiding a beastly Rocksar while looking for Aria in his spare time. Temporarily distracted from Alderan, Rocksar and crew are hunting Murtog to repay his kindness. Much is going on in this second volume; many sub-plots, many characters, almost too much to keep track of. Quite complex! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Great story

I loved the first book and the second was even better. The story turned in ways I never expected. I cannot wait for the next one.

The Dark Heart Chronicles, Book 2

Book 2 in this series picks up where the first left off and I found it a bit more enjoyable and accessible than the first. If you enjoyed the first novel than you will definitely like this one as well. The stories of Nardus, Alderan, Aria and the others continue and things become much more clear and there are some big revelations that I didn't see coming but reflecting back on maybe I should have. The action, magic, mystery and suspense are still there as are the faults of some of the characters which can be exasperating at times.

The narration by Randy Streu is good and fits the story well, his female character voices could use a bit of work but I have definitely heard much worse and they aren't really distracting. Overall if you like the first novel you should definitely give this one a go as it really reveals more of the story and to me at least was a bit better and more enjoyable.

Great story!

Amazing story with a really in depth world. Excellent characters and perfect narration. Highly recommend this series.

Epic sequel full of awesomeness!!

Reborn is the second book in the Dark Heart Chronicles. It continues from The Dragon's Stone with Nardus torn between trying to save his family and the mystical stone that has fused with him. Twins Alderan and Aria develop their magical talents further and discover the truth of their past, along with Nardus, in an epic story.

What a brilliant sequel! It continues with amazing action and adventure and the love story between Alderan and Raya intensifies. It is breathtaking and filled with excitement and intrigue. I highly recommend this series!

Randy narrated superbly. He is a master performer with different character voices for the vast amount of characters. Excellent performance!

I highly recommend this book, as well as the full Dark Heart Chronicles epic fantasy series!!

Wow!!!

This book is a perfect continuation of Dark Lament. What an amazing story. The Author again has an incredible way of drawing the reader in and holding them captive all the while allowing them to embark along side the characters on an epic adventure. The Dark Heart Chronicles are quickly becoming my favorite books!!
