L'histoire de Du Maurier commence comme une charmante romance à Monte-Carlo, mais la lune de miel se termine brusquement lorsque l'héroïne arrive dans sa nouvelle maison qui est hantée par la veuve de son mari, Rebecca. Une présence inquiétante exacerbée par l’attitude de la gouvernante de cette sinistre maison. love the sound of the narrator's voice.
Love the sound of the narrator's voice. The different voices didn't shift volume levels much. This version captures my imagination better than the English ones I've heard. The book has many French connections, one suspects the heroine's French was fluent. It seems natural to listen to in French.

It is in French and I did not realize that.
