Very effective
The earworms approach to language tapes is to have a background of music. This is a great idea and works. If only to stop you being as bored as you usually are listening to language tapes. The music is very appealing. the production just misses out on being fabulous, by repeating some of the most basic words over and over again at the beginning of the instruction, and then whizzing too quickly through more complex structures later on.
