Lance Greenfield and Kirsten Leigh did a great job with the narration of this story.

This novella had some very poignant moments in the last few chapters. Be sure to have a few tissues on hand.

Rafe Simmons broke up with Calliope Ramirez when they were 18 and he was leaving to play professional hockey. He thought his reasons were sound. But several years later, while he's playing for the Arizona Vengeance, he finds out that his father has terminal cancer, so he asks the owner to engineer a trade to the Carolina Cold Fury so he can be at home with his parents in his father's last days.

Calliope is not happy to see him. She hasn't forgiven him and she doesn't want to hear his reasons nor his apologies. As the two families are very close friends, and Calliope is a nurse, she spends a lot of time at the Simmons house. And she can't stop herself from trying to ease a little of Rafe's pain.

This is a very short story, easy to read, with a lot of emotional depth and a second chance for a happy ever after.

Rafe and Calliope

Another fantastic story by Sawyer Bennett. This is a heartbreakingly beautiful story of loss, forgiveness, and unconditional love. I absolutely loved this novella.

So sad, funny and lovable

A novella that will delight and pull at your heartstrings. I truly enjoyed the characters, their story and the way each character was portrayed. Well done everyone.
