Nelley (Queenie) had such a positive outlook on life despite her circumstances.

Resilience at its best!!
The description and narrator brought the characters to life. I actually had to hit pause for fear of openly crying for Nelly in a public place!! Well written!

Amazing
From the beginning this book captured me. I couldn’t stop listening. Every character had a purpose and it just shows how life shapes who you are and so does your internal grit and determination. The narrator was easy to listen to. 5 stars all around!!!
