It's just what the name says: pure drivel Steve Martin is well Steve Martin. I liked the first
story the best. I liked the whole book. ALL OF IT. I love SM. He has my initals.

Some of This is Genius, Some Not...

Would you consider the audio edition of Pure Drivel to be better than the print version?

Comedy is tough and it does not always hit the mark. Even for masters like Steve Martin. Some of this book was so funny I could not contain myself. Other spots I got bored.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. I played it over a trip with a lot of road time, though.

I loved Pure Drivel! Absurd humor at its finest. Steve Martin is such a brilliant writer. The sample offers a good taste of it. Martin’s narration makes it even more of a treat. Highly recommend.

What I hoped it would be.

There no false advertising with the title. This book humorous and brings me down to earth in a world filled with worry. It's fun, smart, and simple. I wish there were more books like this.

Pure Drivel is pure comedy

The content is funny and Steve Martin's delivery puts it over the top hilarious. I highly recommend it if you enjoy any form of absurd humor.

This book and its author are at the pinnacle of "straight-faced" humour. I adore this audio book. Thank you, Mr. Martin, for bringing such brilliant frivolity into our lives.

Steve Martin is funny

Yeah, I know, he's one the greatest comedians ever, but think about it: Not only is Martin a master of humor, he's a master of intelligent humor. That's pretty rare. This audiobook is worth the money for his Schrödinger's cat essay alone. It'll make you laugh out loud; not LOL, but literally. Laugh. Out. Loud.

Because thats what it was .

Not easy so many were in it .. But the Dear Amanda letter was good and you could picture it =)

What about Steve Martin’s performance did you like?

Oh yes I enjoy him so much ... his dialog just kept me listening

Funny!!!

I absolutely enjoyed this book. I got it based on the "Dear Amanda" clip in my Audible library. The book is well narrated! though some of the topics werent fall off your seat funny It was still enjoyable
