Not your typical romance drama
The story doesn’t play by the usual rules, and that’s what makes it so fun. The characters are messy and relatable, their battles are raw, and the humor keeps everything moving. It’s a mix of absurdity and real moments that makes you laugh and think at the same time. Definitely not your typical romance or legal drama, but that’s what makes it stand out.

Really interesting perspective!
I thought this book provided a really interesting insight into how things work from a lawyers perspective during a case. I found the book to not only be highly informative but also very entertaining and exciting as well. If you want to learn more about the justice system then I highly recommend this book!

A unique take!
I love how this book incorporates a mix of romance, satire, and comedy all laced into Seattle's legal world. There is a lot of depth here in the writing as it blends realism, absurdity and dark humor that critiques legal and corporate culture. The narration is also quite well done and entertaining. I am looking forward to more from Christopher Stockwell! If you're looking for an introspective romance that is equal parts unconventional and witty, this is for you!

Glad there will a part 2!
This is a really fun listen. I love political satire, and this nails it. I mean, it's terrifying to think that the government works like this, but I sense there is some reality to this fiction. Excellent narrator too.

It’s clever, relatable, and stays with you after.
I picked this up thinking it’d be just another romance, but it’s so much more. The way the characters wrestle with expectations and careers felt so real. It actually made me reflect on how much I hide behind my own work. I’d suggest listening this if you like stories that are sharp but still have heart.
