The original "Prof. Jesse Beery's Illustrated Course In Horse Training" was 8 blue booklets that were sent via mail-order starting in the early 1900's. This recording is the complete set of those 8 booklets and includes some history of Jesse Beery and a description of some of the useful products the Jesse Beery developed.
In 1905 Jesse Beery founded Jesse Beery School of Correspondence in Horsemanship.
His goal was to transfer the knowledge and techniques he had developed to everyone.
People were amazed at his practical approach to horse training, and to this day he remains one of the few horse trainers to have such wide-spread impact.
Here’s what Prof. Jesse Beery says: He provides practical, real-life knowledge gained from a lifetime of study, not just theory. Not only is “Know Thyself” important to every man, but it is just as important to “Know Thy Horse”. Unless you understand the nature, disposition, nervous system and mental limitations of the horse, you will fail to understand what forms the bad habits in horses. This understanding will repay a hundredfold in time and effort. Many fundamental principles were formed over the course of many years. After thousands of horses, the principles were proven. These same principles, passed on through this Course in Horse Training, have been applied by over two hundred thousand students all over the world and met with great success.
The lessons are arranged in a particular, logical order starting with the basic principles and building to the most difficult feats of horsemanship where only master trainers dare to undertake. Jesse says “Any Horse Can Be Cured” and all horses have a degree of practical intelligence which is all they need in order to train them. The Jesse Beery training course was foundational to many of the famous horse trainers both past AND present.
