Different perspective

I really enjoyed listening to this book! Eboni gives a totally different perspective on women in the work place and how our beauty can be an asset but also a stumbling block. We don't have to give up our feminine nature in order to be successful!

Great Listen

I did not expect to enjoy this as much as I did based on the title. However, the information presented is a very good compilation of a diverse group of women’s professional experiences in addition to Eboni’s own. Good advice and excellent book.

Well said. . . . and even better illustrated

Eboni K. knocked this one out the box. I have learned in life that this particular subject is tough for young lady’s and even adult women to grasp and embrace. Miss Williams gave detailed examples of women who have and use their “Pretty Power” and also touched on how to gain and hone your own “Pretty Power” in your walk of life. I’m a guy and my interest stemmed from wanting to hear more about a professional woman’s perspective and this was definitely it.
I love it!!

What a read! I'm inspired by Ms. Williams!

In Pretty Powerful Ms. Williams uses her training in law to create an argument for the importance on investing in our appearance as women. As someone who in recent years has become more invested in my appearance, this book affirmed things that I already thought to be true. We live in a world that enjoys pleasing esthetics, so why not use them to our advantage as women? Eboni also says that preparation and knowledge for the job are just as important, so please don'tbe put off by the title! I appreciated the use of real life examples of women in politics and entertainment where a woman's chosen esthetic, knowledge, and calculated projection of persona worked for them or against them. I also enjoyed learning more about Eboni's personal story and was left very inspired as a woman in pursuit of my M.D. degree. In today's age media has put a lot of emphasis on becoming "internet famous" instead of going the traditional educational route, so I felt affirmed regarding the work I'm doing by this book. It was far better than I expected and I will surely be recommending this to all of my female colleagues and future mentees. Can't wait to read Bet on Black by Ms. Williams! Write some more books so I can keep learning from you.<3

Worthy of your time, inspirational

I would recommend this book for women in the workforce. Williams drives home the importance of aesthetic in work life. I respect her journey and the gems she has mined through experience and the stories of other women. I have my own opinions about how looks effect all of us. Very enjoyable.

Necessary read for beautiful women.

This book provides critical facts for understanding what God given looks are up against in a fallen world. It’s insightful ideas are necessary for that girl or women who is seen only by the way she looks and not by her abilities or skill set. The book provides a solid guidepost for how to be wise, pretty and powerful.

Great read, really insightful wish I had this ten years ago. Great to read about Eboni's background too.

What I liked most about this book is the Author narrating. Secondly, this book is based on facts and a good example on how to raise up a young black girl as a professional.
