Story:
I will try and do this beautiful story the justice it deserves. This has easily become a top read for me so far this year. I loved it. The angst and the longing that are Jasper and Sloane. Oh. MY. GGAAWWWDDD!! and when they do finally give in... holy dear me... 🥵... just.. WOW.
Jasper and his mine! Dammmnnnnnn.. Can you tell I loved this book? The trauma that surrounds Jadper truly is heartbreaking and that Sloane is there for him no matter what. Is a thing of beauty.
Please go and download this book. You will fall in love with everyone in Chestnut Springs. Harvey.... that man! And Willa, oh, she is straight up Epic.

Honesty, in my mind, Teddy can do no wrong! CJ Bloom was fantastic.

I hope you enjoy this book and book series as much as I did, along with hundreds of other readers.

Loved every minute

loved every single book in this series, but it’s safe to say that these two are my fave.

1. Jasper is that broken hero I love. Yes, he is quiet and broody, but the reason why is my kryptonite.
2. I loved watching Sloane become wild and free as she starts living for herself.
3. Jasper and Sloane’s friendship was everything, and it really upped the steam for them.
3 I thought the other two were steamy, but I was ready for Jasper. His tendencies had me sitting straight up in my chair. I was not ready.
4. Again, a fantastic cast. I LOVE THE EATON FAMILY!! Harvey in this one, though, my god. I love him. He is the best.
5. Oh, and I’m going to need the next two books immediately. The storyline that was set up in powerless was the perfect tease.

If you are an audible lover, grab this. It’s fantastic. Great narrators just add that extra something. The flashback scenes did take me some time to get used to listening to but I enjoyed them after I realized what was happening.

No matter if you read or listen; it’s a must freaking read. It will be a fave of 2023.

Powerless

The title of the book fits the story so perfectly.
Sloane was powerless, at least she thought so.
And Jasper felt it too, because of his childhood.

Those two are so different, but so similar at the same time. And they have such a strong bond through their years of being best friends.

Elsie, you did an amazing job with this stiry.
I looooove it!

One word: SWOOOON!

This is easily my favorite from the series! Soo good! Also the narration was amazing!

Childhood friends to lovers perfection

Oh man… these two are just perfection!! The chemistry and connection these two had was everything and the whole Eden family, just gahhh!

I had higher expectations

I really really wanted to love this book because I loved the first two and I was so excited for Jaspers book but I just wasn't as committed to Jasper and Sloan's relationship and didn't really care what happened to them.

Liked it!

I liked this one, did I love it as much as the other ones not really. But still a solid 4 star read. Sloan and Jaspers story was good. Jaspers back story is so so heartbreaking and I was here for how much Sloan saw him for who he was. I loved that she was his person. I’m sucker for the tortured hero trope and how he only really opens up to her. I loved Harvey in this one the convo he had with Jasper at the end, I cried LOL! Please listen to this one you won’t regret it!

My heart

Jasper, Jasper, Jasper how dare you steal my heart like that. I am utterly obsessed with him and I did not think he would top the first 2 men in this series, but HOT DAMN.

Teddy Hamilton and CJ Bloom were fantastic at bringing these characters to life. The emotions that these narrators had me feeling throughout, astonishing. Teddy has always been a fav MMC narrator but CJ has topped the list from my fav FMC.

My fave in the series so far!

This series y’all! Omg!!! It’s killing me! How does Elsie Silver write 5 star after 5 star read?! And I do this this one is my favorite so far but I think I said that about Heartless too?! 🤣 I read rolled right from Heartless right into this one. I am fully obsessed!!

This book!!! This is hockey romance meets second chance romance meets friends to lovers meets grumpy/sunshine and takes all those tropes and throws them together in all the best ways!! Oh and don’t forget some delicious one bed which you KNOW I love! And oh my gosh the pining these two do for each other!!! Of course the spice is on point and downright “powerful”. I loved every second of this book!! I can’t get enough and can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

PERFECT!

I think this is my favorite Chestnut Springs book! I loved it from beginning to end, and the narration was perfection!
