Bei Polly ist ganz schön was los! Ihre Eltern sind frisch getrennt und ziemlich von der Rolle. Mama Jule ist auf einem Selbstfindungstrip und eilt vom Schweigeseminar über den Tango-Kurs zum Ukulele-Kreis. Von Ausgeglichenheit daheim also keine Spur. Papa Volker ist ausgezogen und lebt nun mit seinem Freund Edgar zusammen. Polly ist genervt von all dem Hin und Her. Die Welt der Erwachsenen ist manchmal wirklich nicht zu verstehen! Aber auch in der Schule geht es für Polly drunter und drüber: Claudette kommt neu in die Klasse und sorgt dort für reichlich Chaos. Pollys Verhältnis zu ihrer besten Freundin Yvonne ist plötzlich in Gefahr, denn Yvonne fällt auf Claudettes Spielchen rein. Und sogar Mattis, Pollys erster Schwarm, lässt sich von Claudettes aufgesetzter Art blenden. Alles steht plötzlich Kopf, Polly versteht die Menschen um sich herum nicht mehr.
